About me

Few words about me

I was born in January 1957 in LYON France. As far as I can remember, I always liked drawing, creating and building things (and sometimes breaking them!). I decided to be a clock maker, but, by the time I graduated from Besancon (French capital of clock making), the quartz invaded clocks and watches! I had a proposal to work in the analytical chemistry instrumentation division of HP where I spent ten exciting years, getting more and more specialized in mass spectrometry. Then I got a proposal to join a fast growing pharma research lab as deputy of the lab director, and ten years after I moved to a technical director position. During this time, I developed a fully featured lab information system and some powerful software applications which stayed in use for more than 15 years (DSP). I co-funded HL2 group which is designing and producing wireless networks of sensors, offering fast prototyping services and selling a collection of self-learning kits in the open-source world and. I cannot refrain myself from creating and sharing, thus this blog.

I am married to Sylvie who gave me 4 wonderful kids. I like things which make sense. I pay interest to politics and I participated in recent local campaigns. I like very much cars and I am the president of a french association of owners of coupe Calibra. I also like music (From Bach to The Rolling Stones), walking and meeting friends.
